Lladro Don Quixote and Sancho No. 37. 1985. Very rare!

Lladro Don Quixote and Sancho No. 37. 1985. Very rare!
SOLD $800.00 Sold: Dec 18, 2023 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
eBay This is one of the rarest of the Lladro' Sculptures of Don Quixote and Sancho.I have contacted the Lladro' factory in Spain and they do not even have a specimen in their historical collection although they have a photograph of one with a crazy ridiculous estimated value price listed underneath the photo.I believe this was made in 2 different colors and in 2 different sizes although I am unsure as very little information is available on-line. I don't know how many limited numbers were actually produced, but the Lladro website says 400. They are very difficult to find.Sculpted by the artist Pablo Serrano for Lladro'.Only two others have come up for sale in the past 10 years that I am aware of, and the final prices were not disclosed. One in this color, and one in a greyish blue color. This was in a collection with several other rare Lladro sculptures and art from my family. Purchased directly by my father inlaw from the Lladro factory in Spain during a visit there.Marked on the bottom "Lladro'", "Hand made in Spain", "Daisa 1985", "No. 37". The flower mark above the Lladro mark is only partially present. Scratched/worn or not properly applied at the time of production. A viewer advised that the rubbed off tulip on the bottom indicates that this was originally sold as a second.View pictures to better describe this item. There may or may not have been a wood base that accompanied this, but it is not present. No box.Ask questions if you have them. I will do my best to answer. Any info that viewers can provide would be helpful. I could update any accurate information provided by viewers to this listing.Note: I may use an alternate shipping method like UPS, FedEx, USPS pending final bid price and destination. Tracking and insurance will be provided with signature required. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
Note: This item has been sold and is no longer available. This page serves as a historical price reference for Lladro collectors and appraisers.
